It’s not often I change out art in a room, but if I do, it’s most likely the Frame TV art. It’s just so easy and so inexpensive (once you have the Samsung Frame TV of course). But you can set a landscape-sized background on a lot of TV brands these days! I’ve rounded up some of my favorite fall Frame TV art picks for fall below, but first, I’m going to let you in on how I make the art look more realistic.
Frame TV | Burlwood Frame | Sectional (similar) | Plaid Ottoman (similar) | Leather Chair vintage (similar) | Jules Lagoon/Brick Rug | Matilda Pillow | Table Lamp | Pumpkin Pillow | Sconce | Gold Mirror | Faux Oak Stems
First off, the newest Frame TVs have more of a matte finish on the screen, which makes a difference. However you can still make any of them look more realistic. The Frame offers bezels (like a thin art frame) that you can purchase separately, but if you want to upgrade to a larger frame or DIY one yourself, that will make it look more like art. Either way, make sure the art you upload or purchase is optimized for the 16:9 size ratio of the TV.
Here are my three tips to making your Frame TV art look more realistic:
- Don’t use the optional “mat” they offer. Mats aren’t made to be digital, they just make the art look more fake. It really looks better when the art is full-bleed.
- Art with mid to darker tones in it always looks better. The less light areas you have in the image, the better it will usually look.
- Adjust the brightness and warmth. You can use the Art Mode selection to control the color and the light. I turn the brightness down almost all the way, and I turn the warmth up. If the light is too bright behind, it looks more TV than art.
I get asked a lot, “Doesn’t changing the brightness and warmth on the picture make the screen harder to see?” Good news, it doesn’t! The setting you do for the art is just for the art, not for your regularly scheduled programming.
