Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia accidentally started a new fashion trend while reacting to her breakup with Zach Bryan.
After LaPaglia, 25, wore a Fringed Crochet Kimono from Saachi ($400) in a Tuesday, October 22, YouTube video addressing her emotional split with Bryan, 28, the piece sold out — in every color — helping the small business grow.
The robe features bold striped sleeves and matching lapels that were connected with a floral design. The off-duty style is complete with a floor-length silhouette featuring a fringe hem.
At the time, LaPaglia wore comfy clothes including a white T-shirt while sitting on her bathroom floor and getting candid about her breakup. She went makeup-free and wore her hair down.
While the kimono is sold out, fans can pre-order it for when it’s back in stock at SaachiStyle.com.
“I’ve been crying for, like, five days straight,” LaPaglia admitted in the video. “I’m at the point where it’s, like, how can you give someone everything and love them so unconditionally through stuff that you shouldn’t.”
LaPaglia, who dated Bryan for one year, continued, noting she was unaware that Bryan was planning to announce their breakup via Instagram that earlier day, “How can you, like, give every ounce of yourself to someone and then, like, be discarded of in a few days. It’s really, really heartbreaking and I don’t want to talk about details right now.”
“We broke up yesterday, so I wasn’t ready to do anything publicly,” she said.
In Bryan’s original statement, he opened up about his “incredibly hard year” and how he thought “it would be beneficial for both of us to go out different ways.”
He continued: “I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart. She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time, and for that, I’ll always thank her.”
