By the time the weekend rolls around, are the only plans that sound appealing to you staying in and watching a show? Yeah, me too. I used to get excited to dress up and stay out late, but I won’t lie to you: Those days are over. Instead, streaming what’s new is now my idea of a wild Saturday night. I’m even marking release dates in my calendar.
With all of the streaming services now, it can be hard to keep up with what to watch and where to watch it. But, this month, the lineups are so good that you will want to ensure you have a subscription to every platform—or at least your friends’ passwords. These shows and movies are about to be the sole topic of conversation in The Everygirl’s #watercooler Slack channel, and I’ll be damned if I miss out on that.
Cancel your plans and get comfortable because it’s time to hit “Play.” Without further ado, here are some of the most anticipated shows and movies that are new on streaming this month.
Netflix
The Four Seasons (Season 1)
This remake, starring Tina Fey and Steve Carell, follows the decades-long friendship between three married couples and the tests they face when one couple divorces, complicating their tradition of quarterly weekend getaways.
Forever (Season 1)
Based on Judy Blume’s 1975 novel of the same name, this new drama tells the epic love story of two Black teenagers who are exploring romance and their identities through the awkward journey of being each other’s first loves.
A Deadly American Marriage
Crime junkies, this case will live rent-free in your mind. A widowed Irish dad and an American au pair find love and a fresh start in the US, only to end with him dead and her in prison. Was it murder or self-defense?
Nonnas
Vince Vaughn stars in this hilarious new comedy as a grieving man who makes the bold choice of opening up a new Italian restaurant and hiring a group of local grandmothers as the chefs.
Sirens
Devon (Meghann Fahy) thinks her sister has a strange relationship with her boss, the socialite Michaela Kell (Julianne Moore), and Devon has decided it’s time for an intervention. But she has no idea what a formidable opponent Michaela will be. Told over the course of one explosive weekend at The Kells’ lavish beach estate, Sirens is a sexy, dark, and funny exploration of women, power, and class.

Nine Perfect Strangers (Season 2)
The mystery-drama returns with Nicole Kidman reprising her role as the wellness guru Masha Dmitrichenko. This time, she leads nine new strangers to a transformational wellness retreat in the Austrian Alps. Masha is willing to try anything in the interest of healing everyone, including herself.

Duster
This crime thriller is set in the 1970s, on the dusty backroads of the Southwest. Young FBI agent Abrams reunites with alum Josh Holloway, who has been working as a getaway driver for a ruthless crime boss, and tries to convince him to help her take the organization down.
“And Just Like That…” (Season 3)
Carrie Bradshaw and the crew are back yet again. And despite being in their 50s, these fabulous women still keep us on our toes, from real estate woes, situationships, and new romantic interests. There are new faces, old flames, and even more drama to keep us on the edge of our seats.

Another Simple Favor
Seven years after the first thriller, Prime Video brings us the long-awaited sequel to A Simple Favor. Stephanie Smothers (Anna Kendrick) is reunited with her old nemesis, Emily Nelson (Blake Lively). Emily’s out of prison and wants Stephanie to be her maid of honor for her extravagant marriage to a wealthy Italian businessman on the island of Capri. Surely, nothing could go wrong.
Overcompensating
Everyone say, “Thank you, Benito Skinner,” for filling the college comedy hole in our hearts that the cancellation of The Sex Lives of College Girls left. Overcompensating is a comedy series following Benny, a closeted jock, as he befriends Carmen, a college outsider, and they both attempt to fit in, no matter the cost. With cameos from icons like Charli XCX, this series is sure to be a hit.
The Better Sister (Season 1)
This new thriller that’s giving Gone Girl 2.0 stars Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks as Chloe and Nicky, two sisters with a troubled history who are suddenly forced to reconnect after Chloe’s husband is murdered. The shocking crime leads the sisters to uncover hidden truths and painful memories of their past.
