David Harbour Breaks Silence on Lily Allen Split Rumors

David Harbour is breaking his silence on speculation that he and wife Lily Allen have split.

The Stranger Things actor, 50, was asked about rumors surrounding his marriage during an interview with GQ Hype published on Wednesday, April 23.

“I’m protective of the people and the reality of my life. There’s no use in that form of engaging [with rumors] because it’s all based on hysterical hyperbole,” Harbour responded coyly.

He added that he didn’t want to encourage a “salacious s***show of humiliation.”

David Harbour and Lily Allen have come a long way since meeting on a dating app. The duo first sparked romance speculation in August 2019 after they attended a play together in London. Harbour’s remarks come after months of speculation that he and Allen, 39, have called it quits after four years of marriage.

In February, Harbour was seen attending the Critics Choice Awards and the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary special sans his wedding ring. That same month, Deux Moi published several photos of Harbour and model Ellie Beers Fallon via their Instagram, noting that the outing occurred in Georgia.

Allen, for her part, has also remained silent on the speculation. However, during a February episode of her “Miss Me?” podcast, the singer said she was in a “stronger place” after leaving a multi-week treatment program. She did not reveal why she sought treatment.

“I just feel very grateful to have been given the time and the space that I needed,” Allen said. “I went into a sort of treatment center for a few weeks, which was great. I did a lot of group therapy and some individual therapy and I needed some time and space away from everything.”

Allen shared that she did a lot of work on her “inner child,” and noted that the process “was not easy — by any stretch.”

“It’s a lifelong journey of healing,” she explained. “It’s not a quick fix, but I’ve started meditating. I meditate two or three times a day [and] that’s really helping me.”

Harbour and Allen went public with their romance in September 2019. Us Weekly confirmed one year later that the couple exchanged vows after obtaining a marriage license in Las Vegas.
