Jon Gosselin and his girlfriend Stephanie Lebo are engaged!
The Jon & Kate Plus 8 star, 47, popped the question to his girlfriend-of-three-years on Saturday, November 23, reported Entertainment Tonight.
According to the outlet, Gosselin surprised Lebo, 37, with a sweet proposal in a private dining area at her favorite restaurant, Willoughby’s on Park in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania.
Lebo’s parents were present to witness the occasion, with her father becoming emotional after Gosselin asked his daughter to become his wife.
“You don’t know how long I waited for this day for you, and there was a time where I thought it was never going to happen for you,” Lebo’s father whispered in Lebo’s ear, ET reported. “I’m so very happy for you and Jon.”
He added: “My best advice is never stop being in love. Love comes first.”
Taking to social media, Lebo shared a photo of herself with Gosselin via Instagram and flashed her engagement ring.
She captioned the post, “Of course I said yes. 🤍”
Gosselin first went public with his romance with Lebo in August 2023 after dating for two years.
The reality star told The Sun that he first crossed paths with Lebo in a low-key way via friends and hit it off following his split with ex Colleen Conrad.
“We met at a backyard barbecue at a mutual friend Dean’s house,” Gosselin told the outlet in August 2023. “It was a hillbilly thing we let fireworks off, it was fun. I had been single for a few months after Colleen [Conrad] and I broke up.”
As well as his seven-year relationship with Conrad, which ended in 2021, Gosselin was married to ex-wife Kate Gosselin for two decades before she filed for divorce in 2009. The exes share eight children, twins Mady and Cara, both 23, as well as sextuplets Collin, Hannah, Alexis, Aaden, Leah and Joel, all 20.
Gosselin revealed in July this year he was planning to propose to Lebo, sharing on the Dom Nati Show that he was aiming to get down on knee before Thanksgiving.
During his appearance on the show, Gosselin said they intend to keep their wedding intimate initially, with plans for a larger reception later. Despite strained relationships with his children, Jon emphasized that all of them would be invited to the wedding.
“I don’t see why they wouldn’t get an invite,” he said, noting that the invitation would likely be extended through his daughter Hannah. “Whether they come or not, that’s going to be up to them since they’re adults now and can make their own adult decisions.”
