Rosaria Butterfield was a tenured professor at Syracuse University who taught queer studies. She was also a lesbian activist who opposed Christianity and wrote scathing articles against people of faith. She even testified before Congress on behalf of the LGBT community.
She was beyond God’s reach.
Or so a lot of people thought. Instead, God worked through a series of unique people and circumstances to change her heart and demonstrate that no one is beyond His reach.
I hope that comforts you if you have a son or daughter who is succumbing to harmful worldviews. Rosaria wrote her most recent book for you. It’s called Five Lies of Our Anti-Christian Age. I talked with Rosaria about it on Focus on the Family with Jim Daly. We discussed five cultural lies that are leaving behind scores of casualties:
- Homosexuality is normal.
- Spiritual people are kinder than biblical Christians.
- Feminism is good for the world and the church.
- Transgenderism is normal.
- Modesty is an outdated burden that serves male dominance and holds women back.
Young people are heavily influenced – seduced even – by the idol of our day, LGBT affirmation. Rosaria shares how to speak truth to your children with clarity and conviction.
