Michaela Jaé Rodriguez: What’s in My Bag?

Michaela Jaé Rodriguez is just like Us — she only keeps the essentials in her purse, a.k.a. her makeup.

Rodriguez, 33, poured the contents of her bag out while exclusively chatting with Us Weekly, admitting that her black leather purse is actually from her mom’s collection.

“I bought this bag from a store in my mom’s closet,” the actress joked. “I didn’t buy it, I stole it,” she continued. “I’m kidding. My mom saw that I was wearing this bag often, so she gave it to me and I keep it as a keepsake and I never really go anywhere without it.”

Rodriguez admitted that her purse resembles a black version of Dora the Explorer’s purple backpack, which her friend nicknamed.

“It’s important that I have my One/Size Baking Puff because I need to get the powder everywhere and to make sure that I’m not dewy,” Rodriguez said, pulling out her triangular puff. Her go to powder, if you were wondering, is the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish in the shade 3. “It’s a mat lay. Whenever I’m dewy I always have to put this on,” she told Us.

Rodriguez proved to be a major Charlotte Tilbury fan with her other go-to items, including the brand’s eyeliner, the Pillow Talk Big Lip Plumpgasm, and the Joyforia perfume. In case you were wondering, Rodriguez smells like warm florals mixed with vanilla.

“Now listen, don’t come from me ’cause this is my natural hair,” Rodriguez prefaced to Us. “But I do have glue up in here just in case something slips in my natural hair. I gotta make sure that my natural hair is glued to my skin or something like that. If you get my drift.”

Earrings
Of course Rodriguez keeps a backup pair of earrings in her bag! “I do have a pair of earrings that I wear almost every single day, [but] I keep these in here just in case one of my earrings falls out,” she explained. “I don’t have a pair on if I wanna change it up. You gotta have a pair of earrings.”
